INTRODUCTION OF BRITISH CAMEROONS

British Cameroons, former territory in west Central Africa; part of a former German colony that was mandated to Great Britain after World War I (1914-1918). British Cameroons consisted of Northern Cameroons (now part of eastern Nigeria) and Southern Cameroons (now part of Cameroon).
